Natural Remedies for Reduction of Cholesterol and Blocks

  • Soak a Lotus flower in a glass of water.  Boil for 5 minutes.  It loses its color.  Filter.  Add Cardamom and Clove.  Drink for 45 days.  Avoid Tea and coffee during those days.
  • Onion juice regulates Cholesterol. Raw onion is one of the best treatments for boosting beneficial HDL cholesterol.  The more you cook them, the more they lose their HDL – raising powers. It contains the hormone Prostoglandin which helps lower pressure.  The benefits are due to the presence of essential oil, Allypropyl Disulphide, Catechol, Protocatechnic acid, Thiopropiono aldehyde, Thiocyanate, Ca, P, Fe and Vitamins.
  • Powder 100 g. of  Dhania(coriander seeds) and 100 g. of Jeera(Cumin).  Take a tsp of this mixture twice a day for 40 to 50 days.  Next 30 days, take a mixture of Cinnamon powder and honey twice a day.  This helps in clearing the blockade if any.

  • The dry seeds of Coriander are powerful Cholesterol lowering food.  A decoction can be prepared by boiling two tablespoons of dry seeds in a glass of water.  It should be cooled and strained.  It should be taken twice daily for a few months.  This will serve as a good diuretic and stimulate the kidneys, thereby bring down cholesterol level.
  • Fenugreek seeds are considered a cholesterol lowering food.  They can lower blood sugar and cholesterol in both diabetics and healthy people.  An active ingredient in them called Galactomannan, a gel – like soluble fiber, binds up the bile acids, lowering cholesterol, much the same way as common drugs do.
  • Onion juice can be mixed with Honey and taken to make the heart work properly.
  • Hot Chilli Peppers are a powerful anti –coagulant food.  They are very effective in preventing blood clots.  Frequent stimulation through hot chillies may continually clear the blood of clots.

To clean Arteries:

  • Boil green Pea seeds and add common salt and red Peppers.  Take regularly as refreshment.  Pea seeds contain plant Proteins called Lectins which have clot dissolving property.  Take more green Pea seeds if you are more susceptible to clots due to poor blood circulation.
  • Prepare Jau (Barley) flour with bran and take Chapathies regularly in meal.  The grain fibres scrub away the deposits of old fat build up that have accumulated in the arteries over a long period of time.
  • Grapefruit pith and membranes lower Cholesterol in the blood.
  • Drumstick leaves give strength to the heart.
  • Certain spices and condiments like Chilli pepper, Garlic, Clove, Onion and Ginger serve as coagulants.
