GINGILLY-OIL LAMP
A lamp with this oil lessens heart palpitations, purifies atmosphere and prevents illnesses of lungs.
DISADVATAGE OF PLANTING :
This crops absorb a lot of strength from the soil. So if they are planted more than thrice consecutively, the soil may lose fertility. So, after harvesting this, plant Green gram, Urad and Thattaipayaru (Tamil), the soil will get its fertility to a certain extent. But before planting them, add manure to soil to make the soil fertile.
JAMUN AND GINGILLY – VRIKSHAYURVEDA
If there is a Jamun tree, that land is suitable to grow Urad Dal and Gingilly.
PREPARING SEEDS
As the seeds are tiny, they should be soaked in PanchaGavya (3% solution) for 20 mts. before sowing.
SPECIALTY :
It can grow even in dry lands and in all types of soil. It is believed that among all the oil seeds, this came first.
GETTING GOOD GINGILLY HARVEST
First, Bajra (Pearl Millet) should be planted. Cut only the upper portion and leave the bottom to degrade in the soil. Later, plant it. This enables a good harvest. Gujarat farmers practice this method traditionally.
VAAGAI AND GREEN GINGILLY – VRIKSHAYURVEDA
If there is a Vaagai tree (Albizzia Lebbek), that land is suitable to grow it.

It has Magnesium, Copper, Calcium and Vitamins B1, E and A.
