Natural Remedies for Migraine
MIGRAINE
Migraine headaches are commonly recognized by morning onset (though not necessarily), nausea, aggravation during the day and relief from sleep or bilious vomiting.
Get rid of constipation.
Jala Neti should be practiced.
Gingilly is good.
Crush the Lemon rind and apply on the forehead.
Sip 2 teaspoon of Honey as the symptoms of headache begins.
Bishop’s weed seeds should either be smoked or sniffed frequently to obtain relief.
5 drops of Clove oil, mixed in 30 ml of Olive oil, can be applied.
Take a few Tulsi leaves and 6 to 8 Pepper Corns. Chew and eat.
Practise Sun Pranayama if there is cold{Right nostril breathing}.
Bishop’s weed or Ajwain seeds should either be smoked or sniffed frequently to obtain relief.
Extract juice of Bael leaves, add a little water and soak a piece of cloth in it. Keep it over the head.
Take Saffron, Thoodhuvalai (Tamil) and Mint daily so the severity can be checked.
Boil 2 tsp. dry Mint leaves in water and reduce to half the quantity. Add sugar and filter. Drink a cup when headache occurs.
Mix Sesame oil with Cardamom, Cinnamon and Camphor. Apply on the head for Migraine and Vertigo.
Mix the juices of Betel leaves and Lemon. Add 200 ml Gingilly oil. Boil. Add 200 ml Cow Ghee. Boil. When the moisture has evaporated, cool and store. Apply on the scalp on alternate days, wait for some time and take bath.
Grind 1 or 2 fresh Amlas in Rose water. Have 4 or 5 small pieces of Saffron . apply this paste on your pate for 15 to 20 minutes. Do so for 2 or 3 days if the pain recurs.
