Natural Remedies for Teeth and Gums
SWOLLEN OR BLEEDING GUMS
Foods containing Vit. C, like Lemon and Orange, Tomatoes, Cabbage, Onion, Garlic, Pineapple, Grapes, Amla and Guava should be taken. Rubbing of the gums with the finger tips also helps.
Mix 4 tablespoons of Lemon juice with a glass of warm water. Gargle. Continue for three days.
Roll Mango leaf and use it as tooth brush to clean your teeth.
Chew young Mango leaves well.
Apply desi Ghee(Clarified Butter) before sleep. Repeat for 4 or 5 days.
PUS IN GUMS
Finely powdered Pepper and Salt can be massaged over the gums to relieve inflammation.
TOOTH ACHE
Powder Kamato (a kind of gum) and country soapnut (Reetha). Make into pills. It is to be kept in the hollow of the aching tooth. It gives instantaneous relief.
Blue solarized oil can be applied on the paining tooth and on the cheeks. Blue radiation can be given on the cheeks and the paining tooth for about 30 minutes.
Mash Garlic, Calamus, Vervain leaves (Uttaranee soppu in Kannada) and Vervain roots together. Keep the paste on the infected tooth. Apply Castor oil on the knees. Stand in the sunlight for a few minutes. The germs in the tooth will be gone. The pain will subside.
The Russian doctor, B.P. Tohkin, has researched and said that chewing raw Onion for three minutes is sufficient to kill all the germs in the mouth. Toothache is often allayed by placing a small piece of Onion on the bad tooth or gum.
