Media in Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad has a well-developed communication and media infrastructure. The city is covered by a large network of optical fiber cables. The city’s telephone system is serviced by four landline companies: BSNL, Tata Indicom, Reliance and Airtel. There are six mobile phone companies: Aircel, BSNL, Airtel, Hutch, Idea Cellular, Uninor, MTS, Virgin Mobile, Tata Indicom, Tata DoCoMo and Reliance. Several companies offer broadband Internet access.
Television
The Doordarshan Telugu channel Saptagiri is the first TV channel launched in Hyderabad way back in early seventies. In recent years many private regional television channels started their broadcast from Hyderabad.

Print media
Hyderabad has about three print media groups that publish several newspapers and magazines in English, Telugu and Urdu. The major Telugu dailies include the Sakshi, Eenadu, Vaartha (Which is simultaneously published in Telugu and Hindi), Andhra Jyoti, Surya, prajasakti, Andhra Bhoomi and Andhra Prabha. The major English dailies are The Times of India, The Hindu, The Deccan Chronicle, Business Standard, The Indian Express and The Economic Times. Magazines published from Hyderabad include Swati, Navya, Andhra Prabha, Andhra Jyoti, Vipula, Chatura, Vanita and Chandamama. Movie magazines include Sitara, Siva Ranjani, santosham and Jyoti Chitra, Suresh TV
Radio stations
The first FM radio channel to be broadcast in the hyderabad city was AIR’s VivdhBharathi, since early Nineties. In 2006, Private FM radio stations were launched in the city.
These channels are telecast 24×7 with programming content in Telugu and Hindi.
