HYPOTHYROID – REMEDIES
Take Trikatu half a teaspoon with Honey at night as it relieves all problems related to throat.

Surya Namaskar stimulates and normalizes the activity of the Endocrine Glands – the Thyroid in particular – through
those movements which compress the neck.Simhasana – 6 rounds daily.

The air at the beach has Iodine. So go for a walk there, whenever possible. It is also found in Seaweed, Garlic, String Beans, Spinach, Turnips, Asparagus, Cabbage, Mushrooms, Strawberries, Rice, Carrot, Radish and Cereals.

Take plenty of Onion, Ginger, Coriander, Pepper and Clove.

Wheat grass juice.

Foot rolling for 5 minutes once daily.

Grasp and pinch the Thyroid area on any one big toe with the thumb and the index finger and give deep alternating
pressure for about a minute (both the toes). Next, deeply press the trigger areas for the Pituitary Gland (at the
centers of big toes) for about a minute each. Repeat twice a day.

COLOR THERAPY

Orange radiation for 30 minutes. on the neck stimulates the Thyroid Gland.

Orange solarized water to be sipped.

GOITER

It is an enlargement of the Thyroid gland. It may involve the entire gland or only parts of it. Spinach, Radish, Lettuce, Watercress and Pineapple juices are good. Kelp helps as it contains Iodine.

Sankhu Pushpam (Tamil) (Clitoria Ternatea. L.) is good.

PASHINI MUDRA

Draw your knees to the chest, wrap your arms under the hollow of your knees and place your palms on the ears. Hold the position for 10 breaths and then remain in the fetus position for a few seconds. This Mudra calms the nerves and regulates the Thyroid gland.
