Natural Remedies for Indigestion
SUNDEKAI AND METHI POWDER
Dried Sundekai – 100 g.; Curry leaves – 100 g.; Pepper – 50 g.; Jeera – 100 g.; Fenugreek seeds – 50 g.; Gingilly oil – 1 tsp. Roast till golden colour comes. Add salt. Powder. Take it mixed with the rice as the first course at night. This is good for loss of appetite, to get rid of germs, piles and indigestion.
Natural Remedies for Indigestion
Cardamom – 10 g.; Hippili – 20 g.; Jyeshthamad – 30 g.; Dry Ginger – 50 g.; Jaggary – 250 g. Powder everything. Take a pinch with warm water or warm milk or honey.
It is good for vomiting sensation, indigestion, burpinh, gas and incessant secretion of saliva.
Cardamom – 5 g.; Jeera – 100 g.; Omam – 100 g. Sun dry or roast everything. Powder. Take 5 pinches in warm water before sleep.
Coconut shell should be cut into pieces. Add 2 litres of water. Boil. Reduce to 1 ½ litre. Consume this throughout the day.
Chew a piece of Tamarind with some salt and Pepper.
Chew and eat a small piece of fresh Ginger wiht salt 5 minutes before food for 4 days.
Take 1 tsp. of Ginger juice and 1 tsp. of Lemon juice twice daily after food adding a pinch of salt for 7 days.
Heat up 5grams of dry Ginger ad 10grams of Jaggary in about 250grams of milk with 200grams of plain water added to it. When the water content is almost burnt up, drink this milk gradually or rather sip it. The body will expel all the filth accumulating in the stomach.
Take 50 g. dry Ginger, 10 g. Clove, 50 g. Ajwain and 50 g. Rock salt. Roast them and powder. Take ¼ tsp of this powder and take a cup of warm water twice a day. This stimulates hunger.
SIDDA REMEDY:
Bol 20 grams Nannaari (Heemidismus Indicus) in half a litre of water. Boil down to 200 ml. drink 100 ml twice a day.

HIPPILI CHUTNEY POWDER
Hippili – 50 g.; Dry Ginger – 50 g.; Pepper – 50 g.; Omam – 50 g.; Salt – 50 g.; Curry leaves -50 g. powder everything raw. Mix with ghee and rice and eat to get rid of gastric troubles and indigestion.
ASHTA CHURNA
Dry Ginger; Hippili; Black pepper; Omam; Rocksalt; Cummin; Krishna Jeeraka;
Asafoetida. Take all these in equal quantities. Roast and powder.
It is digestive, carminative, astringent and an antacid.
Used with hot water or buttermilk, it is very good.
In gastric and peptic ulcers or as an Antacid, it is given with ghee.
It is useful in indigestion and diarrhea also.
Take 1 to 3 g. with ghee, buttermilk or water. When it is taken with food and ghee, it improves the appetite.
LEMON LEAVES’ CHUTNEY POWDER
Lemon leaves – 1 handful; Herelekai leaves – 1 handful; Omam – 2 tsp.; Salt – 2 tsp.; Dry Tamarind – Marble size; Red chillies – 10
Wash the leaves. Wipe. Dry in shade. Remove the centre veins. Roast Tamarind and Red chillies. Add the other things. Grind.
