They are located at the following places; 2 in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, 2 in Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, 3 in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu. Lord Shiva is known by different names in these places. They are as follows; Somnath in Gujarat, Nageshwara in Dwarka(Gujarat), Mallikarjuna in Srisailam (Andhra Pradesh), Mahakaleswar in Ujjain (Madhta Pradesh), Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh, Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, Bhimashankar in Pune (Maharashtra), Tryambakeshwar in Nashik (Maharashtra), Grishneshwar inAurangabad (Maharashtra), Vishwanath in Varanasi/Kashi (Uttar Pradesh), Baidyanath in Jharkhand and Rameshwar in Rameshwaram (Tamil Nadu).
