Natural remedies for Anemia

Utilization of Iron is favoured by the presence of Calcium and Vitamins A, B, C and E. All these are available together in leafy vegetables.
Beetroot juice, Cabbage, Carrot, Celery, Tomato, Spinach, Apple, Cherries, Berries, Pomegranate, Grapes, Raisins, Figs, Dates and Peaches are good; Vitamin B 12 is a must for prevention and cure of anemia. The whole range of Vitamin B and C is also vital.
Natural remedies for Anemia
Take plenty of Guava fruits as they are rich in Vitamin C.
Ripe Green Grapes should be taken in plenty.
Iron in Gingilly seeds helps in Anemia.
Make a decoction with a spoon of Licorice powder and water and drink twice a day with honey.
Tender Mangoes are rich in Vit. C. when they are in season, one should eat a Mango a day. This will improve blood circulation, cure nervous weakness and anaemia. It can also improve memory.
Take a ripe Pineapple. Peel it. Cut into half inch thick pieces. Remove the seeds. Cut each slice into 4 pieces. Arrange them on a plate. Cover it with a thin cloth. Expose to sun and dry it well. Store it. After dinner at night, soak 4 pieces in a glass of cow milk. Eat the pieces and drink the milk after an hour. Repeat for 40 days.
Take 2 Dates and a glass of Cow milk after dinner at night.
Soak whole, fresh Wheat kernels in a glass of water overnight. Strain the water into a glass and drink with a teaspoon of honey. This liquid is a great tonic and restores strength to the system.
The freshly prepared (not bottled) juices of Beets and Carrots increase blood production by the bone marrow and may be taken several times daily. These juices also stimulate the flow of electrical energy through the system and thus serve to combat the weakness associated with anemia. These two vegetables should be made staple dietary items of the anemic patients.
Eat more Ladies’ finger vegetable both raw and cooked.
Cook raw Banana (Bale kai in Kannada; Vazhi kai in Tamil) and eat.
Take plenty of Dates, Walnut, Tamrind fruits, Jamun, Wood apple, Grape fruit, Spinach, Mint, Bitter gourd, Urad Dal (Black Gram Dal) and Gingilly.
Garike hullu juice is very effective. It is called as Green Blood by the scientists.
Tender leaves of Neem should be taken. They have 20.3% Iron.
Natural remedies for Anemia
Green leaves of the Manithakkali (Tamil) (Makoi in Hindi; Ganike soppu in Kannada) can becooked in milk and taken. They have 20.5% Iron.
Green Corianer leaves can be taken with curds or as chutney with chillies. They have 10% Iron.
Leaves of Drumstick tree can be eaten with rice. They have 7% Iron.
Hand pounded rice, Whole wheat, Oats, Groundnut, Blackgram, Greengram, Toor Dal and vegetables like Lentils’ leaves, Green Peas, cabbage and Potatoes have Iron.
We get 1 mg Iron in 1 oz. by weight of Orange juice or Onion juice.
Drink cow milk with a ladle of honey in the mornings and evenings daily.
Iron is a companion of Chlorophyll and is abundantly available in vegetable greens, bran of Wheat, Raisins, Carrots, Oranges and Dates.
Mix Til oil and Amla powder. Lick it daily with a spoonful of honey. This tonic is especially effective for those ladies who grow anemic because of excessive bleeding during menstruation.
Dry Bel (Bilva) pulp. Powder it. Boil cow milk, add sugar candy and a spoonful of this powder. Take it every morning and evening for 3 months. EVEN THE MOST CHRONIC ANEMIC CASES SHALL HAVE ENOUGH BLOOD IN THE SYSTEM. This will reactivate the blood manufacturing organs and also increase the Haemoglobin.
The combination of Carrot and Beetroot juice furnishes a good percentage of Phosphorus and Sulphur on the one hand and Potassium and other alkaline elements on the other hand, which, together with the high content of Vitamin A, completes what is probably the best natural builder of the blood cells and particularly the red blood corpuscles.
Fenugreek leaves help in blood formation. The seeds also help in recovering from anemia, being rich in Iron.
Chew Pomegranate seeds and eat them regularly for 20 days. The pale body becomes red again.
Amla increases Red Blood Cell count.
High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so help in cases of anemia.
